To firm up its programs and activities for the fiscal year 2025-2026, the Chapter conducted its Annual Business Planning last August 16, 2025. The planning was commenced with an Invocation and followed by a message of thanks to those in attendance and for the venue host – Ushio Philippines, Inc. through Sir Domingo Balde Jr., its VP for Finance and our Chapter’s Sectoral Representative for Commerce and Industry. The Chapter then proceeded with its recurring monthly meeting providing heads up on the Chapter performance during the month.

TO commence the planning sessions, the Chapter President presented the overview of PICPA national leadership’s plans and programs for the term for reference of the Chapter in crafting its activities and programs and Chapter Secretary’s presentation of duly submitted annual budget then followed. The Professional Development team then presented their proposed programs for the year and discussions then ensued to ensure that the activities will address the pressing needs of the four sectors – education, public practice, commerce and industry, and government; the membership, in general; and the lasting impact on the community as a legacy of the Chapter. The Finance Team presented the financial status of the Chapter along with the recommendations on improving the Chapter’s financial health.

More other matters have been taken up, such as those matters that the Chapter should pursue to in keeping with integrity, efficiency and good governance; its contribution to the upcoming regional activity – e.g. the LGAO event; and safeguards around its finances, ensuring formal approval of the board for the disbursements of Chapter’s resources.
