PICPA Cavite Chapter supported Southern Tagalog Region (STaR) Team on the duly concluded 2025 AWC Bowling Tournament at SM North EDSA Bowling Lanes last July 13, 2025. The competition rules required to field five (5) players in each of the three (3) games to compete with all other teams and comes along with a muse and escort sub-competition

In an effort to represent STaR on the bowling competition, SRD Minette L. Ame decided to create a STaR Bowling Team composed of Chapter players within STaR. In support, Pres. Garry Pagaspas, PICPA Cavite Chapter and STaR AWC Sports Committee Chair sent three (3) of its bowler members – Sameer Anwar, Eugene Balayan and Pres. Garry himself, to STaR Bowling Team that competed the event. Other STaR Bowling Team members were Christian Rey Sualog of PICPA Mindoro Chapter, Justin Santos of PICPA Quezon Chapter, Gerry Cons of PICPA Rizal Chapter, and Edgardo Molina of PICPA Laguna Chapter. This STaR team concept has been initiated last 2023 by one of our Chapter bowlers – the late Sir Revi Rabaja who played with STaR team last 2023 and 2024.

Throughout the competition, the STaR team played well and scored close with the top-rated Metro Manila chapter teams and successfully landed 3rd Runner Up with a total score of 2,169 pin falls (Game 1 – 698, Game 2 – 686 and Game 3 – 785), 190 pinfalls away from the competition champion. This has been a 3rd straight year the STaR team ends with a podium finish – 2024 as 4rth Runner-up and 2023 as 3rd Runner Up.
